IAAP works to ensure that every student has the opportunity for exchange experience whether to study abroad during their 4 years of study or be part of international workshops.
IAAP aims for students to have an enriching exchange experience, therefore attempts to match students to relevant programmes in relation to their practice. Students have the opportunity to undertake an exchange in the second year or third year of their bachelor study. The aim is to provide students with new learning experiences at partner institution. The duration of an exchange is usually 4 to 8 weeks.
IAAP also receives international exchange students from its partner institutions and is open to facilitate new agreements with institutions interested in forging collaborations. Exchange students can stay up to three months at IAAP. IAAP enables students to participate in all courses and offers them a studio space during their period of stay.
Studying at IAAP provides a unique opportunity to study and live in Palestine and to engage and form collaborations with students and local visiting lecturers.
In addition to the student exchange program, students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements have been nominated to participate in international workshops. Previous workshops have included the annual meeting/workshops of the Mediterranean Art Schools; Truth is Concrete and Art Marathon, Austria; Haystack International Artist Workshop, USA, Former West, Germany. IAAP continues to receive invitations for participation in international events for its students.
